The last time I was in New York, the High Line had not been opened yet nor had I ever even heard of it. It still might have been a deserted elevated rail yard.

On my way heading to the High Line, I could already see some parts of it.

I started strolling through it enjoying various kinds of flowers, grasses, sedges, shrubs, and trees.

Since bicycles and dogs are not allowed on the High Line, it was also safe here.

As I explored this lovely linear park, it was hard to imagine that it was once the elevated freight railroad...

There was a protruding viewing area from which I could gaze over the High Line and people enjoying it.

This old building was built in late 19th century. It is now being used as a hotel, called "The High Line Hotel."
