Before I made the trek towards the Lincoln Memorial, I sat rested on the knee of Albert Einstein. I could see a lot of people loitering around at the Lincoln Memorial from a distance.

It was very crowded inside the Lincoln Memorial. Indeed, so many people were taking photos of the statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting on a chair. I was so surprised to see how big the status was! Wow!

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, issued the Emancipation Proclamation and abolished slavery throughout the US.

As I stared at the Abe statue, I felt as if it were about to move at any moment.

Lincoln is often referred to as one of the most respected and beloved Presidents in American history. His legacy as a champion of freedom is infused throughout American society today.

I looked back at the obelisk of the Washington Monument reflecting in the Reflecting Pool from the Lincoln Memorial.

As I descended the Lincoln Memorial steps towards the Reflecting Pool, a mallard was gazing over at the Washington Monument. I somehow felt like I was watching myself.
