Chicago - Architecture

North Michigan Avenue, better known as "Magnificent Mile," one of the world's most premier shopping districts starts at the Wrigley Building (above left) and the Tribune Tower (above right) on the north bank of the Chicago River.

The Water Tower is the only survival of the Great Fire of 1871. It is located at the "Magnificent Mile" surrounded by high-rise buildings.

Tall office buildings can been seen from the Michigan Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River: 35 East Wacker Drive, Unitrin Building, the Leo Burnett Building, and RR Donnelley (from left to right)

As I was walking along the Chicago River, I noticed that the Chicago Sun-Times Building was not there any longer! I was a bit shocked and sad about it. What I saw was the construction site for the Trump Tower.
