Oak Park

Nothing much has changed here in Oak Park - I mean it in a good way. It is the home of Frank Lloyd Wright and the birthplace of Ernest Hemingway, situated just west of Chicago.

Frank Lloyd Wright's designed fountain, called Horse Show Fountain, is located at the entrance of Scoville Park. It used to be surrounded by flowers. Where are they gone?

Scoville Park is a bit hilly and there is the World War I Memorial at the top.

Ernest Hemingway Museum stands on the northeast corner of Scoville Park. It displays about the his life of Hemingway in this town including his photos and letters.

From the Museum about a few minutes walking north on Oak Park Avenue, there is the birth home of Ernest Hemingway. The house looks ordinary though.

And several minutes away from Hemingway's birth home, there is the boyhood home of Hemingway on Kenilworth Avenue. It looks a bit bigger than his birth home.
