It was exactly the same program as yesterday, and yet, I was so excited to see Martha Argerich's concert at the Berliner Philharmonie. It looked more fantastic at night than during the day.

I entered the golden circus-tent-like structure.

I was about to see and hear Martha Argerich play, here at the Berliner Philharmonie!

Until the concert started, I enjoyed strolling through the foyers.

I found the great poster pillar of Claudio Abbado, Maurizio Pollini, Zubin Mehta and Yehudi Menuhin. It was just amazing to see these historical maestros face-to-face altogether, and they were here!

The audience gradually began showing up. I wondered how many of them down there would be such an avid fan of Martha Argerich and went to her concert yesterday and came here again this evening to see and hear her perform, just like me.

Anyway, each of them looked so excited at what they were about to witness.

As soon as I entered the Grand Hall of the Philharmonie, I got so overwhelmed. Never had I seen such a concert hall! I felt a little giddy and mesmerized for a few seconds on being such a unique and unusual structure, as a matter of fact.

Unlike regular concert halls, performers sit in the middle of the hall, surrounded by the audience.

It was quite interesting experience even just to be in this structure with sloping rows of seats, facing all directions. I enjoyed it even before the concert started.

My seat was the first row of the section and got a small table right in front of me where I could put my stuff. I let my concert ticket sit there.   Martha Argerich showed up with Daniel Barenboim and the same program proceeded. Her performance was incredible and thrilling with extraordinary acoustic qualities in this hall.

After Martha Argerich's performance of Prokofiev, the audience oozed out into the foyer for an intermission drink or just for air.

But just like I did yesterday, I left the Philharmonie behind during the intermission as my "mission" was over. Also, I had a smidgen of concern that the next unfamiliar and uninterested program might intrude and adulterate the memory of Argerich's great performance I just saw and heard. I wanted to make it pure in my head.

I went outside alone. It was cool, calm, and quiet, feeling like I had been dreaming.

My two-day Martha Argerich concert in Berlin will always be remembered in my heart.
